F.E.A.R?

I love Ian Brown and must have listened to F.E.A.R a million times without attaching any real meaning., 20 years later(20!!!) it’s the track I go to when I feel under the cosh.. I mean how better to melt the paralysis of fear than rewriting it as a positive acronym? ‘Forget Everything And Remember’, ‘For Everything A Reason.’ And it’s not just letter play, that does it for me, the science is interesting too, because both fearful and positive reactions are activated by the same receptor - the Amygdala, deep in the medial temporal lobe of the brain. (Thank you Gill McKay for opening up so many brain smart insights.) So next time bad old fear hits, flip to sister interpretation: ‘Fantastic Expectations Amazing Revelations. (Not if a gun-toting crazy is heading your way, obvs.)
